The Road We’re On
"I used to do these fast zydeco songs with Clifton Chenier, and they've been part of my inspiration ever since. I learned a lot from Cliff about rhythm. You get onto that groove, and it's like holding onto a power line. It's a lot of fun to play. As to the lyrics, sometimes you look back and second-guess decisions you made. But if you're true to yourself and listen to your heart, as you evolve through all of the stuff that comes at you in life, freedom is the road that’s right in front of you."
