Levee Town
"When I started writing this song back in 1995, it sparked the concept of an album of story songs about local characters and their experiences in and around a South Louisiana town. I’d always loved the different twists that Robbie Robertson and The Band used to intertwine images of Biblical figures in some of their songs. Also, the inspirational books by the late Joseph Campbell got me to re-examine events that shape our lives and to put them into a mythological context."
