“Taking a different turn from the anticipation and hope in ‘Love and Glory,’ this is a blues tune we’ve had a lot of fun playing live. Here, we approach it more from the Delta, starting out all acoustic then turning it into a beast about halfway through. In an interview, Ry Cooder once said that he thought Robert Johnson would’ve liked playing through a Marshall stack. In keeping with the legend, what if he could’ve plugged in after his pact with The Devil at the crossroads?”
